Year End Information

End of Year information:

Student Attendance:

Last day of regular classes, Friday, June 20^th. Students in regular attendance through to the end of the school year will be expected to continue to be respectful, focused community members. QJS expectations apply to all field trips or alternate activities. Out of school learning experiences require significant planning and permissions so last minute (day of) permissions are not an option.

Student Service/Project Completion Day:

Monday, June 23^rd no regular classes. The only students in attendance will have be students who need to complete unfinished projects or have expressed interested in our QJS Service Day, these students will be contacted by teaching staff prior to Monday classes. If your family has not been contacted by teaching staff, your child will not be in attendance on Monday, June 23^rd.

Grade 7 Orientation Day:

No regular classes for grade 8s or grade 9s. QJS students will not be in attendance Tuesday, June 24^th.

Report Cards:

Distribution of Report Cards and Certificates of Excellence will take place during the day on June 25^th. Report Cards will also be posted on the MyED Parent Portal, students who are not in attendance that day can arrange to pick up their reports/certificates during office hours. Report cards will not be mailed out.

Lockers:

Students have cleaned out lockers and should have minimal supplies remaining. Students should be sure to remove all items from their lockers on their last day in attendance. Items remaining in lockers will be bagged, labelled and kept until the end of July at which point remaining useable items will be donated.

Summer office hours:

QJS office hours will be from July 2^nd to August 29^th from 8:30-2:00.

The school will be locked and parents will need to call 250-747-2103 to gain access.

Counsellors will be available by appointment only on August 28^th and August 29^th
